I had a great time this past weekend at the Montgomery Fall Fair. We had our off-grid solar trailer on site and were providing power for a cotton candy machine, the music and PA system. The Bownesians, a local Bowness group, heard in advance that they would be powered by our solar trailer so wrote a song about it! I caught some of it on video: (more…)

It’s that time of year again! Calgary’s Folk Music Festival is happening this weekend at Prince’s Island Park. The event starts tonight and goes until sunday, rain or shine (maybe bring an umbrella… just in case). There are so many amazing Canadian artist performing this year, it’s going to be such a fun time. (more…)

SkyFire Energy will be sponsoring several stampede breakfasts this year with our solar trailer! Our solar trailer generates enough energy from the sun to power anything from a tiny light bulb to something as big as a large sound stage. This year the SkyFire Energy Trailer will be at the EcoLiving Solar Stampede Breakfast on July 15th & at the Community Natural Foods Stampede Breakfast on July 16th. The EcoLiving breakfast goes from 8am to 10am @ Innovate Calgary (3553 – 31st NW) on Friday. The Community Natural Foods breakfast goes from 7am to 10am @  their Chinook Station Market location on Saturday. (more…)
