My house marks its 100th anniversary next year so it was nice to bring the furnace and hot water into the next century in style. SkyFire mounted a solar water panel on my roof which preheats water as much as 50 degrees before going through a natural gas inline heater. The hot water supplies the two hot water taps in the house and feeds the fan coil which provides warm air for the central heating. I save 30% on my utilities and every day I get extra satisfaction during my shower knowing that the hot water has some Alberta sunshine in it.”
