The original system was installed by well-known Southern Alberta solar contractor. The homeowner found one of the flooded batteries EXPLODED and the crawl space covered in battery acid. The original solar contractor didn’t return the homeowner’s phone calls, so he contacted SkyFire.

The original system was installed by well-known Southern Alberta solar contractor. The homeowner found one of the flooded batteries EXPLODED and the crawl space covered in battery acid. The original solar contractor didn’t return the homeowner’s phone calls, so he contacted SkyFire.
SkyFire replaced the damaged battery bank w/ a smaller sealed battery bank in a battery box as per code. We integrated the off-grid system into the grid so the homeowner could take full advantage of the total solar generation. An additional pole mount array was added for additional generation and the system was altered so as to provide back up power given the grid goes down. In addition, all of the wiring was brought up to code for inspection and the AUC grid-tied application was completed with Fortis.
