The Solar Generation: Cowessess First Nation Solar, Wind and Battery Storage Project

SkyFire Energy recently participated in and completed a utility-scale solar project with the Cowessess First Nation just outside of Regina Saskatchewan.  Often in the day to day of design and installation and going about our business it is can be easy to forget that we are doing such meaningful work.  Much to our delight and satisfaction, a video was created by the David Suzuki Foundation and Stephen Hall Productions to educate Canadians about Solar Energy by featuring this project.

About the Video

Walking through the doors of Regina’s Lakeview School, you can feel the excitement. Students have been learning about Saskatchewan’s solar capacity, and they’re thrilled to learn that Regina has some of the best solar power potentials in Canada. This is Canada’s solar generation — young, wide-eyed, and ready to make a difference.
